The University Preparatory Welcomes its new Director, Mr. Patrick Bauer.  Mr. Bauer was formerly the Administrative Dean of the UPP.

Mr. Bauer, a native of Boston, Massachusetts, comes to the Director position with many years of administrative experience, including experience managing an education program in the United States.  He assumes the Director position as the UPP implements a newly revised curriculum structure, increases its academic services to students, and begins to broaden the program to include night courses, adjunct programs, and training for English teachers in Saudi Arabia’s public schools.

The following comments are from Mr. Bauer:

Thank you for your interest in the University Preparatory Program (UPP), a new post-secondary program, with a superb group of teaching and support staff, a performance based curriculum and unlimited future. We’re honored that you are considering placing the education of your son in our hands at the UPP.

From the perspective of a 25-year career in independent and nonprofit education in various parts of the world, I tell prospective parents with great sincerity that we offer the finest preparatory program in the Gulf. I cannot imagine a better choice than UPP’s location on the Alfaisal University campus and the richness of our metropolitan community in Riyadh. 

We are committed to bringing out the very best in each student by finding his passion and then promoting it through a unique and demanding educational program and individualizing instruction.  Our belief is that the results will speak for themselves. The key is to accomplish this in an atmosphere that also encourages having fun and serving others.

To me, UPP represents a place where every student’s unique abilities and talents are valued by our teaching staff and our goal is to help each student achieve their full potential. I hope you will enjoy exploring the possibility of joining our community.
