On Saturday, July 11, 2009, the UPP opened its first summer program for high school students who wish to get a head start in understanding what university studies are like.  Eight students enrolled in several schools  in Riyadh began the program with Dr. James Seasholtz providing instruction and guidance. 

The summer school will last for three weeks and will include a variety of activities, including English language instruction and practice, Internet research and report writing, TOEFL preparation guidance and practice, and a few selected science lab experiments. 

The UPP is hopeful that the students in the summer school will enjoy the experience of being on the Alfaisal University campus and learning about university expectations.
