Student Life

Special Activities

Special activities add excitement to school life. Students are encouraged to participate in special activities in order to forge stronger relationships with their classmates, get to know their teachers in informal settings, and have fun, which contributes to a sense of fulfillment from the total educational experience at the UPP.

Sports

Students have access to the soccer field at the King Faisal School, along with Alfaisal University students. Soccer practice and matches occur twice a week, and there is a year-end tournament composed of UPP students and Alfaisal University students. Other informal sports activities are arranged throughout the year on the Alfaisal University campus, such as “touch” American football and frisbee.

Contests

Contests are a means for students to challenge themselves, and they also provide enjoyment for the audiences who attend them. A number of contests are arranged throughout the school year, depending on student interest: Science Project Contest, English Speech Contest, English Writing Contest, Talent Contest.

Social Activities

Students have social needs, and the UPP pays attention to this. Social activities, such as the UPP Iftar, allow students and teachers alike to simply enjoy some time after class. The social activities are some of the most memorable events at the UPP, and many students and teachers take photos during them to keep the experiences in their minds.

Field Trips

As student interest arises, field trips may be arranged to afford special learning experiences outside the classroom. Field trips are planned by the Student Services Office and by student organizations. Past field trips have included the following:

  • Visit to a financial training company
  • Visit to the National History Museum
  • Visit to Addiriyah, the old capital of Riyadh
  • Blood donation drive at a local hospital
