Student Life

Student Organizations

Student organizations add a lot of excitement to student life at the UPP. Because of the diverse interests of faculty, teachers have many ideas for student organizations. Teachers propose ideas for student organizations to the Student Services Head, who notifies students of the proposed idea. If there is enough student interest, a new organization can be formed. Also, students can bring an idea to a teacher and see if he would be willing to propose the organization to the Student Services Head. All organizations have a faculty sponsor.

The UPP encourages all students to be a member of at least one student organizations. Student organizations serve an important role in higher education. They provide relaxing fun that is necessary for students to feel re-energized so they can perform better in their academic work. Academic-related organizations, such as Archaeology Club, allow students to broaden their critical thinking skills and learn new things. All organizations allow students to develop and strengthen leadership skills, as students are the ones who decide the direction of each organization.
